Nikita Borisoglebskij


Violinist Nikita Borisoglebskij (1985) was born in Volgodonsk, South Russia. He began playing the violin when he was six years old, and already graduated aged nineteen from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow under Tatiana Berkul and Eduard Grach.

At the age of eighteen he started to perform as a soloist with the State Moscow Philharmonic, State Symphony Orchestra of Russia National Philharmonic Orchestra, Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, St Petersburg Cappella Orchestra, Ukraine National Orchestra, North German Radio Symphony Orchestra of Hanover and Haifa Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Valery Gergiev, Yoel Levi, Christoph Poppen, Eduard Grach, Vladimir Sirenko, Alexander Sladkovsky and others.

His numerous awards include 3rd Prize at the Yampolsky International Violin Competition in Penza, Russia (2002), 1st and Special Prize at the Kloster-Shontal International Violin Competition (2003), 1st Prize at the Joachim International Violin Competition in Hanover (2006), 1st Prize at the Oistrakh International Violin Competition in Moscow (2007) and 2nd and five Special Awards at the 13th Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow (2007).

A returning visitor to world´s major festivals, Nikita Borisoglebskij, has toured Germany, Italy, Hungary, Norway, Israel, Ukraine, Moldavia, Egypt and China.
