The Prima Vista Quartet is made up of musicians of the Polish Chamber Orchestra - Sinfonia Varsovia. Krzysztof Bzówka (1st violin), Dariusz Kisielinski (viola), and Jerzy Muranty (cello) are all graduates of the Warsaw Music Academy; Józef Kolinek (2nd violin) is a graduate of the Music Academy in Lódz. All are prizewinning soloists in their own right. The repertory of the quartet includes a wide selection of string quartets by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorák, Borodin, and Szymanowski. The group is also keen on performing salon music of the 19th and 20th centuries. It has given concerts at numerous venues in Warsaw, including the Royal Castle, the Lazienski Park, the Zacheta Gallery and Belvedere Palace, as well as at the Festival of the Stars in Miedzyzdroje. In the spring of 1999 it made a tour of Germany.

The repertoire of the Prima Vista includes chamber versions of Chopin's Piano Concertos, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and Haydn's The Seven Last Words of Our Savior on the Cross - all featured here at the Classical Archives. Their first CD release, Dolce far niente - also featured here - demonstrates their talents with various classical "hits" and salon works, including jazz and ragtime pieces.

Indeed, the members of the Prima Vista Quartet are also highly respected as studio musicians. They have taken part in the recording of film music by Polish directors Zbigniew Preisner and Krzesimir Debski, and have recorded with Polish jazz and popular musicians such as Henryk Miskiewicz, Andrzej Jagodzinski, Krzysztof Herdzin, Grzegorz Turnau, and Tytus Wojnowicz.
