Daniel Auchincloss

Canadian tenor Daniel Auchincloss has performed as soloist in with such groups as the Apollo Chamber Orchestra, the Brighton Festival Chorus, I Barocchisti, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, the City of London Sinfonia, Le Concert Spirituel, the Gabrieli Consort, La Grande Écurie et la Chambre du Roy, the Irish Baroque Orchestra, the OAE and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, singing under conductors including Emmanelle Haïm, Stephen Cleobury, Gary Cooper, Diego Fasolis, Hervé Niquet, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Sir Roger Norrington and Vassily Petrenko.

Opera engagements have included Linfea / La Calisto (Early Opera Company), Nencio L'infedeltà delusa (Potsdamer Winteroper), Moore / The Dragon of Wantley (Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci), Apollo / L'Orfeo (Capella Cracoviensis), Don Basilio/ Le nozze di Figaro (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Paris) , The Fairy Queen (Opéra de Lille), The Fairy Queen and The Indian Queen (Toronto Masque Theatre), the title role in Platée (Megaron, Athens), Arbace in Ciro in Babilonia (Atelier Lyrique, Tourcoing) and Police Inspector in The Nose (Buxton Festival).

Recordings include Bach Cantatas (Arte), Biber Requiem in F and the Monteverdi Vespers 1610 (DG), Britten Negroes (NMC - a Sunday Times CD of the Week), Sacred Music of Claudio Monteverdi (Hyperion), Neukomm's Missa Solemnis (K617) and The Fairy Queen (RTSI TV).

Current engagements include Haydn Lo speziiale with the Israel Camerata, Monteverdi Vespers 1610 with the Netherlands Bach Society and Rameau Les indes galantes for Boston Baroque.
