Camerata Vistula

Camerata Vistula's chamber music band was founded in 1986 by the cellist Andrzej Wróbel, who still serves as its artistic director.

The full composition of the ensemble includes a string sextet, a quintet of wind instruments and a piano or harpsichord. Such a composition enables the audience to present many works of world chamber music, rarely performed only because of the unusual composition of the instruments for which they were written. The band's repertoire includes chamber music created from the late Baroque to the present, including the latest works by Polish contemporary composers.

Camerata Vistula has recorded many items from her repertoire for Polish Radio, BBC Radio and Polish Television and for record labels, receiving excellent reviews in British and French magazines.

The band successfully performed in concert halls in Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, France, Spain, Mexico, Germany, Russia, Hungary and the United Kingdom. He played at many renowned European festivals, among others Warsaw Autumn, Gdańsk Music Festival, La Chaise Dieu, Inventiones in Berlin, and overseas at the Cervantino festival in Mexico.
