Piotr Pławner

Piotr Pławner plays the violin made by J. B. Guadagnini in 1772. He made his stage debut at the age of nine; he was the student of Iwona Wojciechowska, Zenon Płoszaj; studied in Igor Ozim's master class in Switzerland.

He is the winner of various competitions including the Second Polish Competition for Young Violinists in Lublin (1990), the Tenth H. Wieniawski's International Competition in Poznan (1991), International Music Competition in Bayreuth (1991), 44th ARD International Competition in Munchen (1995). In 1995 the special award "Tschumi Preis" was awarded to Piotr Plawer for the best diploma conferred on a soloist at a Conservatory in Bern.

The artist gives concerts both as a soloist and as a member of chamber orchestras in Poland and abroad. He performed in nearly all European countries and in Arab states. He worked with such orchestras as: Berner Symphonie-Orchester, Sinfonia Helvetica, Deutsches Kammerorchester, Sinfonia Varsovia, National Symphonic Orchestra of the Polish Radio in Katowice, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Nederlands Kamerorkest, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Suedwestrundfunk Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart.

Piotr Pławner was applauded in such renowned concert halls as Tivoli Hall w Copenhagen, Liederhalle in Stuttgart, Chatelet in Paris, Concertgebouw in Amstredam.
